Becky Pritchard

Becky was born in Shrewsbury and has always had a passion for horses. When she was 12 Becky volunteered to work for the Lythill Apaloosa Stud in Bayston Hill where she spent every spare minute she had until she went to University at Harper Adams. Here she studied Animal Health and Welfare and for her year in industry, she worked at Shade Oak Stud where her love for thoroughbreds began.

On graduation, Becky went to work for Lisa Hales at Shaw Farm Stud and over the years has taken several excellent opportunities such as grooming for the GB pony event team in Poland and France and washing down the runners at Aintree during the Grand National Festivals.

In 2008 Becky started work at Walford College on the Equine Yard and worked her way up from assistant yard supervisor to instructor/lecturer.

In July 2017 Becky enrolled with Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as a trainee equine veterinary nurse. She has two years of really hard work ahead of her but we are all very excited for her!

When she has a spare moment Becky loves riding her 11-year old TB gelding called Mr Diesel who she does a little bit of everything with.
