Tim qualified from the University of Cambridge in 2007, after which he spent 3 years in mixed practice in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. He subsequently completed an internship at the Liphook Equine Hospital in Hampshire, before joining their first-opinion team. During his time in Liphook, he developed a keen interest in equine surgery and subsequently undertook a Residency in Equine Surgery at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh. Here he undertook specialist training in all aspects of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, with extensive experience of advanced dental procedures, and lameness/poor performance investigation. In 2017, he was awarded the Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice (Equine Orthopaedics). He has a particular interest in standing and minimally-invasive surgical techniques.
